Fuel pump problem cured

Hi all. Just an update. Ok fuel performance sent me another pump which I will say is the correct length. This is HFP -385 rather than 382H and the fitment was perfect. Spares with the pump are of no use so I continued to use the Honda pre filter. Pump was refitted and testes carried out, then fuel a...

Fuel pump problem

Hi Larry, Thank you for your reply. Please don't feel bad about me buying that pump as it's sort of given me a challenge to try to sort it out for myself and others. Well after Nigel came round (another forum member) he confirmed that I was not going mad. I can tell you that HFP 382H is the same as ...

Fuel pump problem

Hi All, well I need some advice, I purchased a pump from fuel performance and it looks ok. The only visible difference is the colour of pump and the outer metal sleeve is 11mm shorter than my std pump. (pump send to me HFP-382h) Ok looks brilliant till you go to fit it and then you realise because t...

Fuel pump problem

Hi Larry, yes I did a test and come to the conclusion that I had 12v at the pump but it was not working. I even fooled the pump relay and it still did not work. So I have removed the pump from the tank and separated it from its framework. yes I can see the mesh filter and that looks pretty clean. I ...

Fuel pump problem

Hi All, I have been trying to re commission the 45 after a 3 years All was going well till this morning when I was going to take it down for a MOT. In the last few weeks I've had it running doing various jobs but this morning she refused to start. First thing I noticed is lack of fuel pump whine/noi...

std exhausts

Hi Larry, Thank you for your reply. Yes I thought I was going mad as I did not get any feedback about the silver ends to the pipes. I thought some owner before me had done it. Anyway I have polished up the pipes and redone clamps and it looks great. As for the knees perhaps your lovely weather would...

std exhausts

Hi, I'm in the process of re commissioning the 45. Due to knee reconstuction op, I'm still not sure I will be able to bend my knee to ride it but rest assured I will give it a good go. Beside servicing the bike to get it ready for the MOT. I've noticed that the 4 exhaust clamps want re painting. (tw...

I want a RC45

Hi All, I don't often post a reply as very happy to read and learn about these brilliant machines. I have now owned my 45 for nearly ten years and I still look at her as a piece of art. I noticed Larry said all the models stayed the same and I started to wonder did they have different spec from coun...

carbon look body work

Hi All, I just had a request from my friend Andre from Holland about the 45 on the RC30 stand at Stafford 2 weeks ago. Sad to say I could not make it as just had a knee op and on crutches. Anyway I have seen pictures and it does look good, in fact very stealth. Was this body work a one off or someth...

newbie

Hi All, Really glad I have found this forum. I have owned my 1997 Uk spec 45 for some 7 odd years and it is my pride and joy with my other Honda's. It was on show at Stafford last year and I still can't stop looking at it as a piece of art. Anyway she let me down last Sunday and I had to get a push ...
