Regulator rectifier

Just tested the output of reg/rect at battery. Only getting 13volts at 5000rpm. Suspect the reg/rect is on the way out. I was getting strange problems on way back from TT. Reg on bike is a SH579A-11, which on another website is prone to failure on vfrs of a similar age.

Any comments!

Electrical Problem?

Driving down motorway today, headlights on, put on indicator and speedo needle dropped in speed from say 70 to 20mph and instantly recovered. It seemed to happen when I switched on indicators. Didn't happen if headlights turned off. On holiday and few tools where I am. Any suggestions, loose connect...

Decals

Mark

While since I have been on the website. I have sent you a message, I am looking for an image or a suggestion where I can get the curved Honda decal from the top fairing (above the headlights). This is not available from Honda any more.

Front Sprocket

My bike is fitted with aftermarket front sprocket. There are no marks for outside or inside on the one that came off.

Can anyone confirm that the deepest flange goes on the inside. thanks

Rc45 race history

To save me doing some research does anyone have to hand a brief summary of rc45 race success. Particularly interested in TT , NW200, Suzuka and perhaps Mgp. I have been persuaded to take RC45 to a local bike show rather than something old and I need to put together a brief "flyer" to put b...

Speedo sensor

Just received a mph sensor via Stephen. As Larry stated MPH sensor is 5 pulse per revolution. The sensor has the number 5 on it at has the number 93491. The KMH sensor I replaced has the number 4 on it and also the number 94104. Only Honda would bother with a different sensor for KMH and mph.... Man...

Speedometer

I have recently fitted an mph speedo to my bike to replace the kph one it was originally fitted with. Now the weather has nearly improved I finally tried it out today. The speedo appears to be reading slow, I have not confirmed yet with GPS but I am convinced it is incorrect, reading 30mph when you ...

Rc45 wheel

An RC45 wheel does fit but you will find that choice of tyre is critical, ideally a 190 width tyre is required but this will require a wheel spacer to allow clearance between tyre and swinging arm. A 180/55 tyre will fit to a 6" rim but some 180 tyres are wider than others so whether or not a s...
