Re: NOS Injectors - Are all Injectors the same ?

Wow , that's quite a stash you have there . Just out of interest do your new injectors have any dots of colour on them ? . I've taken a picture of mine , and they have a white and green dot of paint on the body , and a blue dot by the electrical connector . I've no idea if this had been done by Hond...

NOS Injectors - Are all Injectors the same ?

Hello , Well I managed to buy what might be the last NOS injectors in existence as one of my injectors will not clean up 100% . I just wanted to check that all RC45 injectors were the same , as I thought that they were . They came in a box with the Honda part number 06164-MW4-000. I'll copy below wh...

PGM slight blink when switching the engine off - normal ?

Hello , I'm still having problems with my cold start, as the ECU is not telling the injectors to give more fuel from cold . I've tried another ECU , but I've still got the same problem. I've just noticed that when I switch the engine off , the PGM light very briefly flickers on - can anyone confirm ...

Fuel Injectors

Hello , Does anyone know if the fuel injectors are still available from Honda ? , as having a quick look , they appear to be NLA . Mine are off for cleaning and despite 4 or 5 attempts one of them is not atomising as good as the other three . It's just about OK but not great and could be better . If...

Airbox update - back to standard

Hello , From a previous post of mine , I found that the front of my airbox had been cut away just to leave a hole , https://i.imgur.com/eeEEbWE.jpg I managed to buy a compete airbox off of Ebay , so with high hopes of a better torque cure off I went back to the dyno shop . In a effort to try and be ...

Airbox mod - just cut a hole in it ?

Hello , Just trying to find a slight pesky coolant leak on my 45 , and it seems to be coming from the top rad house . Anyway , I was trying to see where the hose goes into the head , so I took the tank off and found this on the airbox lid , https://i.imgur.com/eeEEbWE.jpg So it's just a hole , which...

Starting from stone cold - choke or not ?

Hello , As per my long running starting issues , I'm just wondering how other people start their bike from stone cold . The dyno shop I've just used , did not use the choke at all , and it started OK , where as I used 100% choke and no throttle from stone cold . I do not know if this caused my plugs...

Is any specific motorcycle coolant better suited for an RC30 , or will any brand do ?
Thanks

Front disc bobbins ?

Hello , Just a question , one of the front brake discs on my 45 is ever so slightly dragging on the pads on one side . I've cleaned up the pistons in the calipers and attacked the bobbins with brake cleaner to see if they will free up a little - as I presume that they are semi floating ? It's now to...

Yoshi system + power commander = 121hp and 56.5 ft.lbs

Hello , I've not had my RC45 too long and I've never heard of anyone having a power commander fitted. So here are my findings...... When I went to the bike/dyno shop to get the idle balanced when I first got the bike in August , the owner thought that it would not be too hard to fit a power commande...

Wiring mod needed ?

Hello , I'm now the proud owner of a RC45 , which I bought off of roca1976 from this forum - thanks Jack. It's just a fantastic bike , and it's everything I hoped it would be -and more . I had to get the throttle bodies balanced at the idle was a bit too high as they'd been out and professionally cl...
