I’m arranging to get made a copy of a set of four crash bobbins as used by the WSB teams. They are made of high quality nylon and are a push fit on the frame as shown :-

Two of the bobbins extend out from the body work (like the R&Gs) while the other two are located inside the bodywork. They are intended to be used on an HRC RC45s, in other words on the left hand side the ‘inner’ bobbin would be located were the coolant expansion tank resides on the road bike. Thus, if you wish to have these bobbins on a road bike you would only be able to utilise three of the bobbins or re-locate the coolant expansion tank to use all four.
The cost of a set of four bobbins would be £160 while the set of two R&G crash bobbins are £58, so quite a bit more expensive. If however, anyone is interested please let me know and I’ll place an order and once made I’ll post the bobbins by recorded delivery at cost. I’ll leave this posting live for two weeks allowing forum member to contact me and on the 13th May I’ll give the numbers to be ordered.
