RC45 wire splice

As many would know there was a wire splice that could be done on an RC45 to increase power(Thanks for the scans Larry

Anyway I have followed through the wiring diagram and also compared the wire splices to the HRC AFC coupler wire jumps to see if it aligned with one of the AFC couplers for increasing/decreasing overall fuel amount, anyway it's close but not quite.

So does anyone know EXACTLY what the wire splice achieves?(note I haven't done on mine as I'm running an NL5-003 ecu with PGM controller and AFC couplers) But I am still curious.
