Minor problems on RC45

Post by V4Pete »

Hi all,
I've owned my 45 for almost a year now, sadley due to weather and other comittmants have'nt ridden it much until recently, encountered a couple of problems one sorted due to a dud battery, but find it a bit snatchy on the gear change and difficult to engage first gear when the motors hot. I'm contemplating new clutch plates but I also find it ticks over when hot at 1800+ RPM, The throttle stop screw does not turn so I can't reduce tick over, this could be part of the reason for clonky first gear selection.
Any suggestions appreciated, I don't want to remove tank and air box if there is and easier way.

Cheers
Peter
ps. It is fitted with a termignoni exhaust system and done 36,000 miles.

Idle

Post by Demetris74 »

Had similar problem with the idle revs. After balancing based on the 1st cylinder trip, i had high revs round 1800, as a resoult removed the idle screw accidentally after lots of turns. pain in the a..s to put back

when i find time i will check it again.
