oil return hose

can any one tell me why one race bike has no oil return pipe to the kit sump, with a blank in place?

whilst the other appears to have the oil cooler pipe in place.

does the kit cooler do away with the return



no oil hose, silver blank?

In the bottom pic, the hose just goes from the oil pan outlet to the oil pan inlet, due to air/oil cooler removed and replace by water/oil cooler, the part number for this hose is 15650-NL5-000, I guess in the top pic they just cut out the middle man and blanked it off, just reducing a point of failure.

I have a 94kit Mag oil pan and it is identical to the standard one in everyway except for the material, I have seen later mag oil pans and they don't have the facility to even use the hose at all.

i have a new bike which i have a kit water cooled oil cooler and a mag sump to put on. so i can do what you say and just remove this part from the link.
