Japan only Racers magazine covers the RC45 in great detail in 3 volumes... now if I can find a translator to uncover the true story...

Great magazines! I've already scanned them, and the two earlier RVF editions. I've also scanned the RVF400 book. Too busy translating NSR250/NSR500 books at the moment, but one day I'll do the RVFs.

I've also scanned the first of my RC45 HRC manuals, but unfortunately I only have Japanese versions. I've also got an original Honda Sevice Manual to scan, but again, it's only in Japanese.

I'll be putting them all up in PDF format on the main site eventually. Some RC30 manuals are already uploaded, but I'm still working on the format, and don't have too much time to dedicate to it at the moment.

Oh and a little about me - I grew up and was educated in the US, but now I'm living and working in Japan. Bought my RC45 last year and have been slowly restoring it. Parts are an issue... but of course I am also curious to learn even more about this machine!

Larry - ok not a problem. FYI I have noticed that Google translate is WAY better than it was even just a year ago, especially in the Japanese to English translation. But anything else please don't hesitate to reach out if I can help.

I am obviously not enough of a Honda fan to guess who your friend is, care to enlighten us?

I've translated a load of the NSR250 and NSR500 magazines for the NSR-WORLD.COM revamp that I hope to publish soon (40th anniversary of Freddie's double), and even with Google Translate, it's been a nightmare! So much work! The problem with a lot of things like Racers, is the text is over photo backgrounds, or on colours that it can't yet recognise. But, as you say, Google is a lot better now than even a year ago... the problem is I started translating the stuff about 3 years ago! LOL

I only have a Japanese version of the RC30 workshop manual (not scanned it yet), as people ask ridiculous money for English copies (£200+ is not uncommon). I intend to grab an English VFR750F manual at some point, then use it to reference for the RC30, but of course there will be numerous parts that won't work for (cams, rear axle, forks etc.) that may be handy to have some help with. I tried recently to by an English RC45 manual to scan for the site, but it turned out to be a Farcebook scammer.

Any English manuals I can get my hands on and scan will be published on Force-V4 for the benefit of all.
