Some of this might help you....
There are no "restrictions" in the Jap header pipes that I see. The exhaust headers are the same part number as any "unrestricted" RC30. Swiss and Australian bikes carry different header part numbers though. The
muffler on the Jap spec bikes is restricted in outlet size and carries a unique part number. There are so many muffler part numbers for RC30's that I doubt anyone can tell you exactly what the differences are. Nonetheless the Jap muffler is severely restricted, merely by looking at the outlet
The jets are smaller than most other RC30's. Jap spec jets are:
Front Main - #110
Rear Main - #108
Slow - #38
Most unrestricted RC30's have the following jets as standard:
Front Main - #115
Rear Main - #112
Slow - #38
Australian and US machines have the following jets as standard
Front Main - #112
Rear Main - #110
Slow - #38
The air cleaner for Jap and US bikes is "restricted" in that the air inlet is smaller than other RC30's. The differences include the rubber snorkel, the plastic air cleaner base and the air filter itself.
The jet needles for a Jap spec bike are not restricted (like the jets are). The stock Jap jet needles are part number 16151-MR7-004 which is the same as any unrestricted UK, Canadian, German, Italian etc bike. Swiss and US bikes have a different jet needles.
Needle jet holders for a Jap spec RC30 are the same as any other bike, except the US and Swiss spec machines.
Any jetting mods will obviously have to be based on exactly what you otherwise modify and your local conditions (temp, pressure, style...).

My JDM has undergone some work, ie headers have had the restrictors removed, std can has been cut and shut to a more 'free flowing' item and I'm probably going to run it without the air cleaner lid (I'm told they're restricted compared to none JDM)
Any idea on jet and needle requirements? I know that the JDM have different jets/needles than that of the european spec, but I guess I'd have to go beyond those in this instance.
I see Dynojet do a stage 1 & 2 Kit, either of these close to the mark?
