At last, an 80 mile wiz round North Lincolnshire. Bags of low end power was not expected, very strong acceleration, especially the way she storms out of bends ! Clearly has full power output (if not more ). Two Brothers can must be making the difference. Brakes not what they ought to be, but steering sublime, decent suspension but the back's a bit harsh. More tinkering needed on the adjusters. All in all, brilliant, so fast and effortless, no need to go above 8000 revs, love it !

Does it have a full power ED spec ecu fitted? I found that a near stock full power bike pulled very nicely above 8000rpm, very flat torque curve so just piled the speed on. All the stock RC45 dyno runs I have seen are usually 106-108bhp at wheel. I've dynoed a few stock RC30's(Aus spec so full power) and they generally are around 90-92bhp at wheel. As Mark has said kitted they are just like a stocker up to about 8000rpm. I have had a couple of different specs on my bike over the years, first up was HRC kit cams, modded heads, 94 spec ecu(NL5-003)/velocity stacks, exhaust and supporting parts etc and that was very nice up to 8000rpm then kicked on nicely to the upper rpm ranges, then changed to 95 spec ecu(NL5-721) and velocity stacks etc, was pretty much the same as 94 spec but bit sharper on the throttle in the mid/upper mid range. Then changed heads/cams(HRC R&D)/twin injector/ecu(NL5-8000) was still great below 8000rpm but really kicks on to over 14,000rpm.
It does have the ED box, I've had a close look at everything and, apart from the Two Brothers can, it looks exactly as new. I had an RC30 years ago and this thing would leave it standing. I've ridden 3 bikes with 150 bhp and this goes as well (on road use). The bottom end power is very strong. It will pull away easily in 6th at 3000 revs after going through a village. My VFR 750 ( had it 20 years) is rated as 95 bhp and would have to be redlined to get anywhere near the RC45 staying under 8000. I have a BMW R1100 S Sport which is rated at 98bhp , great puller but well short of the RC45 just the same.(the BM will have to go I think).
When I've got some more miles on it and certain she's in sound order, I'll get a dyno run done and see what delivers. I guess at 110 bhp with good torque. We'll see.
Holiday next week then another ride out.

Well, that just about says it all, it may only be a 750, but it's definitely the fastest bike I've ridden in 53 years of motorbikes. It's the way it does it that impresses. So effortless and deceptive. Luckily I couldn't afford one when I was a young hooligan.......... I would still be banned !
Brilliant bike !
Roll on summer.......
