Almost bought an RC45 today

Post by JC120 »

So a fellow I know asked if I was interested in buying his clean, perfect running RC45 with only 4500miles. I rarely see these for sale here in the USA, let alone 20 min from my house with a clean California title.

I did some research on what the last few sold for and I came up with a fare top dollar offer (so I think). I only know of one that sold here in the past year and it went for the $28,000 asking price in no time. The one before that sold for $31,000. He think's it'll be worth $35,000 by the end of the year,, me, I don't know, but that's just out of my range. What do you think?

I have the NC30, NC35, a kitted RC30, and a 600RR to beat on. Honda V4 360 crank sport bikes are my favorites. I love the engineering. I love how they look, and I love the ergonomics. They're calming to ride unlike an inline 4, plus they don't depreciate like a new RSV4.

Needless to say we couldn't come to an agreement. After that I went to a friend's house who popped in a VHS of the 1996 WSBK races. That didn't help ease my feelings of loss. Who knows, maybe he'll lower his price.
