Hi
Is Big brother removing threads, just because there is a difference of opinion? Thought that's was the point of a forum, also there was some information in that thread that people may of found of some interest. Maybe it should of been locked or is there some c**k wiggleing going on showing who has the power?
I agree Dean, there was some good info in there. Who cares about the other stuff, it's the internet, shit's going to happen, gives me a good read(bloody long read!) and a laugh.

Thanks Jamiec,
From all the other Forums I am on, I thought the whole point of a moderator was to do that, not get involved in the mud slinging [ that's if it was removed as Dave took his mod hat of for a post ] if the people with the power don't like what we put [ not directed at you Roger so don't put me an essay up.... please] then that's what PM or even block or remove that person after some warnings but to remove the whole post that some people may be referencing from may be a little OTT.
I am on the RGV250 forum the same as Stephen [ who runs this forum] is also on and there is a lot more vocal posts as part of that forum and big brother does not wade in.
This is a good well presented forum and with a small well knowledged membership from all over the world, so if it has disappeared for more than a bug in the system that would be a shame.
If the "Jerky Drive on RC45" topic has been removed, it's a shame; particularly as some observers may not have seen my reappraised view of Motul Chain Paste, with the attendant 'bow' to Larry. It is also a shame if observers haven't seen me extending an 'olive branch' to Dave.
I can see some rationality in your thinking Dave, it's probably off putting to 'newbies' (actual or would be ones), when there appears to be a 'self-opinionated tidal-wave' generated form time to time - yes, I do mean from me! Though I do try to give evidence and to justify. But, that said, I don't think I'm the sole offender - possibly a 'gold medal contender' though!!
I don't wish to stop corresponding in the way I have, because that wouldn't be the real me, so I either continue much as before, or cease altogether... or 'evolve'. I know there'll be those for cessation and I can't blame them for that - after all tidal waves overwhelm. Maybe I could change any 'go forth and multiply' views by continuing much as before, but always adding the sub-text "it's all only Roger's view and opinion - and Roger isn't perfect - so can be a 'dick' at times... please don't be put off getting involved in this topic".
Gordon's 'Jerky' topic, having been moved to the HRC section, doesn't give all possible observers (of only a part of the dialogue) to see the 'calming of the waves' and those practical and useful views expressed, which (imo) is a pity because it may have the effect of encouragement, but....
....it's all only Roger's view and opinion - and Roger isn't perfect - so can be a 'dick' at times... please don't be put off getting involved in this topic".
I believe it to be the undoubted case that I've upset people with 'my way' of communicating. I have at times questioned things people have written, which those people may not have been happy, comfortable - or whatever - with; I’ve even ‘psycho-analysed’ (including you btw). But the simple view I take is 'tough', if something is going to be claimed... indeed anything... best be prepared for a difference of opinion, even a difference backed up with facts, science, mathematics, history, or anything supporting the different ‘opinion’. And… ‘if such response doesn’t kill you, it should make you stronger’.
In the light of recent events, I’m obliged to view force-V4.com as a sort of ‘hierarchical’ (there’s that h word again) club, in which the hierarchy feels its position is threatened when anything it believes in is called into question.
I have no time for such ‘delicate sensibilities’.
Now that in itself (just written above) I’m confident you’ll not like because it’s not a supine response to what you’ve written.
I’m going to take you back to what recently started matters (though I think your ‘problem’ with me has been running longer and is deeper):
1. Gordon quite reasonably mentioned fitting a Scottoiler.
2. Larry gave his view and opinion.
3. I gave my view and opinion.
I think it probable, Dave, that you’ve been long ‘itching to put me in my place’ and you jumped on this opportunity to do so – in the expectation that you’d get hierarchical deference.
So… You took the anti-Scottoiler stance (which you were entitled to do), but you put forth your rather snide comments about an ‘old fogey’ (me) crashing with oil over the back tyre and fitting a tank-bag, top-box and panniers to my RC45 (and why not if I wanted to?). Further to that, you took a cardinal dislike to my view on real race bikes – by comparison to your own – and the unarguable facts about what riding on the open public highway actually amounted to = touring; but then as you wrote “up yours” (mine), this 'winning argument being very rational'.
I could continue, but suffice it to say that you, in your role as moderator, effectively censored the posts, by shielding them from ‘prying eyes’ (or was it just for financial gain?). For my part, I’d no problem with anyone seeing the posts, including the last few written, including that about me sometimes being a ‘dick’ (after the pm from you - not the first of such a strategy). And in view of those pm’s (and my ‘hand of friendship’ responses) I candidly tell you now, I don’t like your ways, I don’t like your partisanship… and, taken all together, my assessment is that I don’t like you. I’m sure that’s mutual, and I’ve no problem that what so ever, as you are, to me, of little or no, consequence – and doubtless vice versa, to my complete satisfaction.
You may wish to side-line this topic, or not, that decision is also of no consequence to me.
I’m not sure how to (or if I can) remove my membership details from the site, but that’s what I wish to happen, and that’s what I’ll try to do… but if it has to be done by you (as a moderator) then kindly see to it, as a displayed professional act if nothing else.
