My RC45 is a Japanese domestic market model # RC451000129. I've spent a small fortune getting up to full power but thankfully all parts required were/are still available from Honda. It has a paltry 2385KM on it.
The RC30 is an American model # 179. I'm not sure if I was a bit hasty in that I did not do enough homework on it before bidding on eBay for it. I wasn't aware it was less power.......how? Carbs are 38mm instead of 36mm.....air inlet is smaller, anything else? It's in really good nick though except the white has bubbles on it on the upper cowl. Is this a problem with RC30's as I saw on eBay UK that there is one for sale there with bubbled paintwork. I have also posted on the RC30 forum about my cold starting problems.
I'd been looking for RC's here in NZ for several years but only recollect seeing a very tatty red RC45 and a dog of an RC30. Both for silly money considering the state of them. It wasn't to much of a task importing them. I've got a VF500F2 coming from the UK in July.
All for now and I'll be visiting the site far more often for sure.
