Dynojet Slide Lift Hole Question

Hi All, I am about to fit a Dynojet Stage 1 Jet Kit to my 1990 Honda RC30. It is standard apart from a full race, straight-through exhaust system. Rather than drill out my original slide lift holes, I bought a second hand set of slides to work on. When they arrived, I found that they have already ha...

Priming Carbs

Evening All,

Is there a way to prime RC30 carbs? With having a vacuum operated fuel tap and a dry set of carbs, I just flattened the battery trying to get her started. Is there a dry-starting process trick I am missing?

Cheers,
Ian

RC30 Tuning in Bucks / Oxfordshire

Hi All, After rebjuilding the carbs and fitting the race pipe, I am looking into getting my RC30 rejeted and rolling road tuned by professionals, ideally somewhere near me so I can ride it there and back. Do any of you have experience of the following places please?: GP Performance: https://www.gppe...

RC30 Jetting for Race Pipe and Tuning

Hi All, Just fitted a race pipe to my RC30 and want to jet it with something more likely to work, and then get it properly tuned. I would really appreciate some info please: 1. What size main jets or needles etc please? 2. Where is a good place to buy the parts? 2. Any recommendations for tuners in ...

Je-Jetting for Race Pipe

Hi All, I have just fitted a race can, which sounds MUCH better than my stock exhaust. Assuming that is the only change I will make (i.e. standard airbox, filter, cams, heads etc), what are the most likely jet sizes I could try please? Oh, and any tuner recommendations near the Cheshire/Staffordshir...

Tyre choice

Hi All,

Considering the limiting factor of the stock rear wheel, what are the best / stickiest road tyres available for the RC30 please? The only 170/60/18 I can currently find is the Dunlop Roadsmart 3, but it appears more suited to sports/touring bikes.

Thanks,
Ian

To Repaint or Not

My RC30 has a few paint bubbles, all original paintwork. Now, I can spend £1500ish for someone like Dream Machine to make it better than new, or I can mop the original paint to make it as good as possible.

What do you guys think please? Better to be original or mint?

RC30 Recommissioning: Fuel Leak

Evening All, First Post Newbie here. On Sunday, I bought a 1989 RC30 at auction. It's the bike I have lusted after since my 20s, when they started cleaning up on the Superbike circuits. I was at the Stafford Classic Bike Show, looking for some parts for my 66 and 79 Bonnevilles, and spotted the RC i...
