Tach converter

For anyone interested, this project is progressing nicely. An avionics friend of mine has designed a circuit that allows the CDI to talk to the HRC race kit tach (the same unit fitted to the NSR500) With a few finishing touches it will be ready to install. Heres a video of the testing process: http:...

Race kit tach converter question.

Does anyone here know anything about the circuit inside the black box that connects the race kit tachometer to the wiring harness? I'm in the process of reverse engineering this converter but it would be a much easier process if someone out there had a schematic.

helicoils and tty

Thanks Roger, thats as good a theory as any other I've heard. As for the helicoils, I was told that was as much for weight savings as durability. With each bolt 1mm smaller in diameter thats a few pounds shed.

Vfxdog - I know its not a TTY bolt as the manual says they should be reused.

The bike itself is an early prototype VFR-750R built in 1986 and imported into Australia specifically for use as a race bike. I bought it in 1994 and was lu...

Ducati wheels

I don't know about the exact dimensions of the multistrada wheel but I do know my 5-spoke 996 wheel fits my rc30 hub with very little modification. The only problem was the inner diameter of the 996 wheel was ~1mm too small to fit over the Honda hub. If you take the wheel to a decent machine shop th...

Hi All, I rarely look at the Yahoo group anymore. That format makes searches very difficult, and following threads is a pain. Anyway, I've owned my RC30 since 1994. I bought it from the Honda Australia superbike race team. It was last raced by Anthony Gobert and before that was Troy Corsers #2 bike ...
