Fuel pump

Noob here so go steady guys!

As an introduction, I have a 1995 RR model with 5000 miles on the clock, owned since 2003. Bike has been dry stored since I last used it in 2006.

Due to an inexcusable lack of use, the fuel pump would appear to be history? Entirely my fault, as I failed to drain all the fuel. I thought I had, but this was obviously not the case. No excuse, but the fuel companies/government/tree huggers want castrating for the crap (i.e. ethanol) they allow to be put into fuel now.

I think I already know the answer, but is it possible to fit the actual pump part from any other model into the RC45 pump assembly?

At almost £700 excluding shipping (Silvers), a new one is a tad on the expensive side and makes the brand new tank I got for less than the price of the pump seem bloody cheap, (but unfortunately it does not have a fuel pump fitted)!
