Hi, I have a JDM RC30 the restrictions regarding the speedo have been sorted and it is fitted with a full HRC system. Not sure if the air box is still JDM (not sure how to tell)but I also have a ITG dome filter that I have yet to fit.
I'm wanting to get the bike tuned and set up on a Dyno but the bike still uses it's JDM CDI. The bike seems to go ok throughout its rev range but i understand the JDM ignition map is different and less potent than the uk map. behind my speedo sits a small black box with the words M-max on it. Is it possible this is some kind of electronic device that makes the JDM CDI behave like a UK CDI?
I plan to change the CDI before getting the bike dyno'd. I believe the UK CDI is still available but I am currently looking into the programmable unit advertised in the OC magazine.
Does anybody have any experience or recommendations regarding this unit or indeed the whole setup?
