Big Brother

Dave…. I believe it to be the undoubted case that I've upset people with 'my way' of communicating. I have at times questioned things people have written, which those people may not have been happy, comfortable - or whatever - with; I’ve even ‘psycho-analysed’ (including you btw). But the simple vie...

Big Brother

Ok Dave, I've got the message.

So would you kindly remove me (all of my details) from the site forthwith. I'm not in the least bothered about the time remaining on my subscription.

Regards,

Roger.

I can see some rationality in your thinking Dave, it's probably off putting to 'newbies' (actual or would be ones), when there appears to be a 'self-opinionated tidal-wave' generated form time to time - yes, I do mean from me! Though I do try to give evidence and to justify. But, that said, I don't ...

Hello Dean, Ok, no essay. If the "Jerky Drive on RC45" topic has been removed, it's a shame; particularly as some observers may not have seen my reappraised view of Motul Chain Paste, with the attendant 'bow' to Larry. It is also a shame if observers haven't seen me extending an 'olive bra...

Tank bag

Hello Larry,

Thanks, that's a pretty neat set-up you have - and certainly 'food for thought' on my part.

Renewed thanks and regards,

Roger.

Tank bag

Quite right Dave, I do find myself scrubbing the rear tyre side wall clean after each ride, but only to get rid of the odd narrow, thin, oil stripe - thankfully no oil finds its way onto the treaded portion of the tyre; presumably the (actually) quite small quantity of excess oil is flung off at the...

Tank bag

Yes Dave, the Scottoiler... If it wasn't for that thing flinging oil everywhere I wouldn't be slithering all over the bike - and I might not need a tank bag to stabilise me a bit. Mind you, I reckon that from a distance it must look something like I'm trying to get my shoulder down, just like a genu...

Hello Mark, No, not cushions, alternative ridding 'clobber' - and a few other 'odds and sods' should suffice; though now you come to mention it (and so having encouraged a bit more thought) cushions do sound like rather a good idea! Anyway, older... wiser... and in need of cushions? A former colleag...

Tank bag

Hello John, Thanks for the Kriega lead, I'll 'scope' them out. Hello Mark, No touring, at least not of the long 'expeditionary' kind. I'm really looking for something to carry various items of (mainly soft) kit and which I can also use as an occasional upper-torso support. My last longish non-stop s...

I'm looking to fit a tank bag to my '45. Does anyone have any prior experience of same, and can anyone make a recommendation?

Thanks.

There’s practically nothing to go wrong with the throttle bodies other than mechanical wear, e.g., butterfly shaft/choke bearing surfaces, and these would be easily fixable anyway… but then I suspect you’d have to be rather a ‘high mileage man’ to ever get to that stage. Hmm… a high mileage RC45… in...

GOLDEN ERA BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP / RC45

Ah, the razing of skin, shredding of muscle, and the splintering of bone, I know it all so (repeatedly) well. But the good news Mick, if “good” be a word to use in connection with an accident, is that at least you’re on the mend. Regardless, my best wishes for a speedy, full and proper, recovery. ‘K...

I reckon that's a pretty good write-up/presentation... and a well deserved one given the quality of the subject '45. Furthermore, although it seems largely appreciated now, it's also nice to read some journalism that has got (and so appreciates) the fundamental point of RC45 production'. Regards, Ro...
