RVF750-RC45 INJECTION & INTAKE TUNING
The RC45 uses a very sophisticated fuel injection system for its time. Seven sensors feed data not only to the PGM-FI unit but also to a separate ignition unit.
Each injector is sequentially fired depending on the requirements of the engine at any given time, with ignition being adjusted depending on throttle position and rpm.
Standard, the RC45 fuels very well. Even when fitted with a race silencer it copes well, with very few problems.
STOCK AIRBOX
There are very few modifications that can be made to the standard airbox. The favourite is the replacement of the standard Honda paper air filter. As far as we know at this time though, there are no after-market companies making one, so it's down to a bit of do it yourself.
Filter foam can be purchased though Piper-X in the UK. This allows you to cut out the standard Honda paper element and replace it with the new foam. The main benefit of this modification is the filter can now be regularly cleaned rather than having to be replaced. The RC45 as standard also runs slightly rich thought the rev range, so a new foam filter helps reduce this and should add a little HP.
