Yes 21 is an RS.

Can be confirmed by removing the riders seat and checking the white label stuck the undertray behind the battery.

Thanks Jørgen

RR was the code for bikes made in 1994, and RS for the batch made in 1995. Actually only the last letter, as thay're all RVF750R- then the year. T would be a 1996 made bike, just as the RVF400RT I owned. It continued from there until they ran out of letters.

Ex: VFR800FV
CBR600RW
VFR800FX
VFR800FY
Then CBR1000R1
VFR800F2 or in my case FA2 for an ABS model.

You get the idea. Just standard Honda...

There are 3 sectors to deciphering a Honda 17 character VIN namely WMI VDS and VIS

Take JH2RC4526RM000001 (I like to say Balls 1 for short)

JH2 WMI World Manufacture Identifier (Motorcycle manufacture in Japan)

RC45 VDS Vehicle Description Section

Everything past this point is VIS Vehicle Indicators Section

26 Check digit (this code is used to fill the VIN and has no bearing
on the VDS or VIS)

R Model year (1994) S model year (1995)

M Plant of origin (Hamamatsu Factory Japan)

000001 Sequential Production Number
