Hi,

I've just taken delivery of an RC30 race bike. I've been told is has been in a museum / collection for ten years and would appreciate some advice on how to prepare it for use again, and especially anything in particular I should be looking for. Any pointers towards shop manuals etc. would also be gratefully received.

I collect MV Agustas, have owned a CB1100RD for over 30 years and raced a Laverda Jota in the B.E.A.R.S. series last year.

Cheers,

Gareth

Welcome to the site.

Depending what you want to do with the bike, the minimum I would do is, a fluid change and check the valve clearances. If its an ex race bike like you say I'd be completely stripping it.

Thank Steven. My intention would be to strip the bike before getting her back out on the track but without a workshop manual I'm stuffed. I'll keep looking and see what comes up.

Cheers

I'm sorry I do not have a pdf or anything of the RC30 service manual. However there isn't much on an RC30 that you'll require a manual for, its all fairly self explanatory.

Hiya Gareth...

You'll find OEM RC30/VFR750R factory manuals for around $185
USD on Ebay... but unlike the RC45 owners manual the RC30 / VFR750R
owners manual is not out of print... you can order an official Honda
authorized copy part# 31MR7700 at helminc.com for $24.95... which has
everything except the wiring diagram below but download the photo to
complete your manual...
