This year we are doing a number of rounds with Hottrax in their endurance championship.

We're one of the few teams running a single bike but so far so good.

Cadwell had its ups and downs. The bike however ran perfectly for the whole weekend.

A couple of pictures from the weekend.

Are you / did you have to, run any engine cover protection?

The MCUI over here caused uproar this year amongst the post classic / classic superbike era men by introducing a mandatory need for external engine cover protectors. The thing is though, they don't actually exist for a significant amount of older bikes!

Hi John,

If the MCUI are giving you a hard time you might be interested to know that a set of R&G crankcase protectors are available for the RC45, I’ve a set on mine :-

In fact they are a set for the 2014/15 Honda VFR800F, the RHS (clutch cover) protector fits no problem but the LHS (alternator) protector does need a bit of cutting and a new mounting hole drilled. The LHS is less likely to hit the ground but since I bought the pair I endeavoured to get it mounted.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Pask.

Perfect!

Thanks for that; I was about to embark on getting some custom ones made so you've saved me a lot of hassle
